What Blogging Tools Do You Need To Start Your Blog

September 8, 2009 By Ron Leave a Comment

Blogging for cash is not an easy task for anyone let alone affiliate marketers, but it makes it much easy if you have the right blogging tools.

It takes time and work and a lot of both to be a big success.

Blogging ToolsEffective blogging tools as with most things we do is evolving all the time.

The things that a visitor expects from a blog will also change all the time. Just when you think you have hit on a hot topic and the traffic meter is rising rapidly and affiliate sales are growing fast they are gone the very next day, that’s why it is important to be constantly evolving as an affiliate marketer.

What used to be an electronic public journal entry has become much much more today.

It is now something that is full of features that a blog visitor has become accustomed to and if your blog doesn’t have the latest technology as well informative information, it could get passed over and will not earn very much money for you or your efforts.

This is where all the available online tools come in handy. They will help you keep your blog full of all the most current technology without having to be a computer wiz.

What Are Blogging Tools

There are blogging tools also called plug-ins that will help you create new blogs quickly. These are commonly called blog editors. An editor will help you post multiple blogs and help you manager the existing ones. This type of software also enables you to format your blog to keep the look of your blogs consistent.

Let us not forget all the pictures and multimedia such as youtube video’s and MP3 files that are necessary in today’s blogging world. A good editor will help you upload these elements so that it will look the way you intended it too without you having to do very much tweaking.

Another Effective Tool Is The Built In Editor

Using the WordPress blog editor will also help you moderate your blog. Allowing people to post comments on your blog can increase your fan base and your traffic. Unfortunately, you always have those people that want to make the unsavory comments and you need to be able to edit those bad boys out of there. So make sure your editor has a feature for you to moderate your blog.

Another tool and this one is very important if you are looking at the SEO of your blogs which is subscribing to feeds from other sites. These can be news sites, other people’s blogs, or websites of interest that you can draw your information from. Subscribing to the feeds on these sites will give you an endless flow of information for you to write about and post to your blogs.

You won’t have to waste your time searching the internet looking for topics to write about, they’ll be right at your fingertips. This is very useful for people who write about popular topics such as news and current events. Just like news room has a constant stream of information, so you will be seconds behind the major news networks.

Once you have your blog up and running. It is looking good and it is filled with all the latest features. However, do you know who is looking at it? Do you know how many people are looking at it?

How long are they staying on the site and when they are on it and what are they looking at and doing? All of these questions are essential to know the answers to in order to make sure that you are getting the traffic that you want.

A blogging tool that will collect and analyze your statistics is something you can’t do without.

To find out all the information you need about your visitors you really need to have Google Analytics as well as Google Webmaster Tools. Lets talk about Google Analytics first this is an account you will need to sign up for at Google and it is free. The power of this is that you will know every intricate detail of what your site visitors are doing at your site which is must have information if you want to be successful as an affiliate marketer with your blogging.

The next Google tool is the Webmaster tools function which you will have access to once you get yourself a Google account. This is where you can see how your site is functioning in the Google Index and where you can submit your site map from your blog to Google’s index. You can see how many incoming links, if there are any broken links on your site and much more.

Blogging for profit can be very profitable but it also requires time and dedication to the task set before you. If you commit yourself to seeing through the difficult and discouraging times you’ll find that eventually you’re time and effort will pay off especially if you start out with the right blogging tools.
