Having The Right Mindset For Affiliate Marketing

Before you start on your affiliate marketing career there are many things you need to consider…

The Right Mindset For Affiliate Marketing

Firstly you need to decide how much time you’re are going to put into creating your affiliate business and what tactics you are going to use. For our site Affiliate X Files this has been a hard-fought battle over the last 12 years of being online, with the many distractions of others who claim to be Super Affiliate Gurus pushing their products and services as the best thing in online marketing.

Forget About All The Hype

This in all honesty has cost us an absolute fortune in paying for these affiliate marketing courses or that software application which is supposed to help you grow our online business.

What we have found in doing this is that most of these programs have a very short life span and after the latest Google updates (Penguin) a very devastating effect for many of those affiliates trying to make a living online.

What our site “AffiliateXFiles” is going to teach you is how to market you selected products and services without ever being placed on the radar of Google or any other search engine, we use “White Hat” techniques and are very much on the side of building solid, authoritative sites as well as building relationships with other bloggers where you can make money online from your affiliate marketing efforts.

Things online are changing fast and you need to understand what you can and can’t do or your life expectancy online will be very limited.

If you are sick of all the hype and really want to make money as an affiliate then keep reading to find out how.

Understanding Market Research

Market research is about finding a niche that fits you, then finding one that has enough traffic to be profitable and without millions of sites fighting for that traffic. What you want to achieve is being able to link your customers with products and services that they wish to purchase. Market research is about identifying opportunities online that you can make money from.

All to often other marketers will show you how to find keywords that have massive amounts of traffic, however what you need to know right from the start is that having a massive amount of traffic does not always relate to sales. It may have been better to have optimized for a keyword term that has less traffic simply because it converts into sales much easier.

Selecting Your Domain

Once you have completed your market research you will then need to decide on a domain name, it still helps to have your primary keyword in your domain name but what you want to be thinking is being able to brand your site with that domain name not just sell products those days are fading away fast you need to be thinking about being an authority site or you will be left behind.

Having The Right Mindset For Selling Products Online

Having the right mindset is about picking someone to follow and avoiding all the distractions you will find online, as an example of what can happen we receive as many as 500 plus emails a day from people trying to either sell us stuff or get us to visit their website.

This is very valuable time being wasted by having to go through all this crap and then delete what we don’t want, which I can safety say is nearly all of it.
