I love wordpress because it has so many free plug ins and the even the paid for ones are not that expensive. I recommend it over Joomla because it is easier to follow.

I have never used Joomla but i know those who have and i would have to say the say WordPress has many more options. Studiopress has even made it easier with not needing as many plugins to run a site making sure your WordPress blog will always load fast but still have all the same functions you need.
