Seopressor WP Plugin Putting It To The Test

August 21, 2010 By Ron 11 Comments

In this post we are going to put SEOPressor WP Plugin through its paces and see if it can really improve your search listings in the search engines.

Before you continue reading you might want to subscribe to our feed as this post will be getting updated every few days to show any progress we have made using SEOPressor. Go here to find out more about SEOPressor

Will It Increase Our Listing In Google? Only Time Will Tell…

The post we have chosen for this experiment is How To Make Money With Your Blog, you might think this is classed as a long tail keyword but it has 355,000,000 other websites fighting for the top positions in Google™ so we thought this would be the ultimate test for this Wp Plugin and its on page optimization capabilities.

seopressor search engine listing
The post we are using for this has been online since November 7, 2009 and has never had any on page optimization done using SEOPressor until the writing of this post. Yes it is already indexed and yes it already has page rank, however after nearly 10 months it has not even come close to getting into the top 10 of the Google™ that is why we thought this would be a good case study.

Search Engine Ranking
As you see above the post is sitting in the 24th position in the index and this is before we followed any suggestions from the SEOPressor WP Plugin. Now we have used all the suggestions making sure everything was entered correctly including alt text and even linking to other pages on our site which are all recommendations from the SEOPressor WP Plugin.

Will SEOPressor Make The Grade

Make sure you follow along by subscribing to our RSS Feed to see what really happens with this WP Plugin and whether or not it can be an alternative to employing expensive SEO Experts when using a WordPress blog for your online business.

If you are already using this WP Plugin and have seen results we would like to also hear from you, tell us whether you increased in the search listings or declined, it does not matter which we want to hear from you.

SEOPressor Kicks Us Back Two Places In The Listings…

It has been 24 hours since we first did our on page optimization using SEOPressor and we have already seen a change in our listings, however it was not what we had expected. Our listing has fallen by two spots in that time. Is it that Google™ does not like what we have done or does it mean that it has been looked at by Google™ and there is a decision pending.

seopressor day two results

Day Two Results…

Well currently it is not looking to good for SEOPressor as we have dropped away another 11 places in the listings of Google ™ with our page ranked now at 37. Is this just the fact that Google™ is adjusting our listings or is SEOPressor actually hurting our chances of getting a good ranking?

day two Google listing

However in saying that, and it really looks bad for SEOPressor but, Google has also listed an additional 15,000,000 sites competing for that keyword phrase so I don’t believe we have done to badly with holding our own here…

Day Three Results

We have not seem much change in the listing for the last 24 hours however one positive is that the post is starting to head back up the Google™ rankings even though it is only one place, it indicates that something is starting to happen.

Day Three Seopressor results

So What Has Happened In The Last Four Days

I have spent some time since writing this post studying more about Daniel Tan and his mindset when it comes to SEO and have found some very interesting concepts that he uses. But most important of all is that I now have an understanding of how Daniel Tan thinks and what his expectations are for ranking high in the search engines.

Now back to the page we have optimized using SEOPressor, and as you will see in the screen shot below we have now stopped declining in the listings and have moved up 4 spots, will this continue?

Seopressor results after one week

Thirty Days Later What Has Changed With Our Optimized Page

These results have even surprised me… After just over thirty days we have seen a massive change in our listing on Google™ for the search term “Make Money With Your Blog”

30 Day Results SEOPressorAnd as you can see from the screen shot above there are currently 359,000,000 competing websites listed for this search term… But that’s not what surprised me the most!

As you can see in the last 27 days we have slowly moved up the rankings to be sitting in seventh position right now… However it gets even better than that…

make money with your blogWe have now started to be listed for the keyword “Make Money With Your Blog” as well with two pages listed out of 390,000,000 the first page being at #12 which is the actual page and the next page is the category of blogging from our WordPress site…

So should you buy SEOPressor and give it a go, most definitely… It is the best solution I have come across for doing your on-page SEO optimization on your site and it is only a fraction  of the cost of having and SEO Expert doing the same thing for you…

      Hi Dave And Welcome

That is why we are doing this little experiment with SEOPressor, it has been marketed heavily by many of the Gurus’s online so it is time to see if it really can make a difference. There are definitely many factors involved when using this plugin but after reading the sales page and implementing the recommendations it all sounds very easy…

Only time will tell how good this WP plugin really is.

I am going to track your results because I am curious if this tool is going to help. I don’t think any tool can replace good seo methods but we shall see.

      Hi Danny And Welcome…

The good thing about this tool is that it actually gives you some good SEO methods you need, the plugin actually tells you what needs to be done in order to have good on page optimization and then all you really need to do is check out what the keyword density is for the number one site and match which Seopressor also tells you what your keyword density is.

Hi, I am wondering if you have further updates on SEOPressor plugin. Have seen it marketed many times. Thinking to buy it for one site of unlimited site license but not sure if it really works. I don’t believe on page factors have much weight on rankings these days except improve in CTR. Does this really works?

      Hi Joel…

I have had a few problems with using SEOpressor, firstly unless you want to point a lot of backlinks to your page you are not getting much of a result. Yes I will say that you can get your page to the top 50 listings very easily but without getting back links that is about as far as you go…especially in a competitive market like the one I chose.

But after updating my blog to 3.01 I have had a lot of load issues and one of the plugins causing this seemed to be SEOPressor. I have not verified this totally as yet but after disabling the plugin my site seemed to settle down.

I will tell you that SEOPRessor was working fine on wordpress 3.0.

I ran into the same problem with my host, HostGator. I found I was creating a major problem for HostGator’s server by not deleting previous edits and optimizing my website. Once I ran WP-optimizer and deleted all previous edits, I had no problem with HG. I don’t know if this helps or not. Hope so.

          Hi Jack…

          And thanks for the info.

I also had another issue with the plugins on the site which were not related to SEOpressor where I had three plugins which were conflicting with each other. This lead to me not being able to write posts or even answer comments on the site without crashing it.

It has taken me many weeks to sort this out and find which three plugins were causing the server load, because I had to have all three activated at once to see a problem it was a very time consuming process to eliminate.

Yes I think too many plugins can cause headaches especially for non techies like me so I try to stick to the essentials and check with a trusted webmaster Jeff Penchoff before buying into anything I’m not sure of.

            Hi Jonathon

Yes it is a very good idea to find a mentor online and stick with them, for me it was a guy by the name of Brad Callen whose tools taught me a lot about SEO and link building. I have had to learn WordPress on my own and it was only a matter of trial and error to find what plugins worked best with each of my WordPress blogs.

What many don’t realize is that what might work well on one site may have no impact at all on another site. Each and every niche is different so you need to be able to adapt to that.

I use SEOPressor on all my blogs it is the fastest way the measure you on-page SEO and I have seen some very spectacular results using it.

        Hey Everyone…

This is a very quick update on SEOPressor…

The problems I had with the site were connected with the template i was using not SEOPressor as I first thought… I have just updated the post above with our results after the first month and they are very good results…

Make sure you check this WP Plugin out it is well worth your time to take a look…
