Choosing Your Autoresponder Service

March 17, 2010 By Ron Leave a Comment

Whether you’re usually an internet user or a webmaster, if you decided to use an autoresponder the first step is to choose the one that fits your business.

Due to the huge number of autoresponders which are available online it’s just a matter of choice and a little research.

autoresponderIf you need a simple autoresponder which must be able to do the basics like sending preset messages to the persons who e-mailed you, then search for a free autoresponder or you can simply set this simple task up using you web hosts email program.

Most of the web hosts such as Hostgator will offer one in their hosting package which can save you money in the long run.

The time it takes to set up your own hosting autoresponder will be very fast and will save you from having to do a search for another service online.

You simply just have to go to your web hosts control panel and then take time to simply click the activation button and fill out your mail message.

An Autoresponder Give You A More Complex System For Email Marketing

You will need a complex autoresponder which sends mass-email messages and schedule them at specific intervals of time and send it over certain periods of time then you’ll have to reprogram the mail system on your web-site. This reprogramming isn’t simple and it’s recommended to be done by professional programmers.

There Are Free Autoresponder Services Available To Help Get You Started

If you aren’t a professional and you aren’t willing to hire one, don’t get frustrated because there is another free solution. Still not 100% free you’ll get the license of use in exchange for advertising but pretty fair.

Here are some free autoresponders which will place advertising among your subscribers. For more information use Google to locate them.

SendFree is like a web spider where for every two advertisements which is published in your autoresponder, one of yours will be published using another users autoresponder. This is a suitable program because it is easy to use and is absolutely free.

FreeAutoBot is the best choice for mass-sending messages, however you will encounter pop-ups as soon as you land at the site. You’ll be able to send unlimited numbers of e-mails at scheduled intervals of time fixed by you. This autoresponder service if free of charge and free of advertising, which makes it great for the user who needs to send large quantities of messages daily.

You need to remember one thing however when using any autoresponder service that claims to be free…

The potential of being bombarded with advertisements can be very off putting and even annoying.

For The More Serious Affiliate Marketers Then A Paid Autoresponder Service Is Recommended

GetResponse seems to be an advanced version of the above software because it gives you more then unlimited number of messages. With this autoresponder the messages can have any length and can be delivered at any time. It’s perfect for those who need to send files and other attachments in the email messages.

Aweber is a another paid mailing service which we personally use to do all of our mail outs and the handling of subscribers. We have the ability to track clicks and create different opt-in forms to cater to different requirements on our site. Aweber also offers a huge collection of ready made templates which are customizable and easy to set up on your site.

Another advantage is the ability to see the list of the emails or the click thru status of the mail outs you send. For example, this software enables the user to see who opened and downloaded the files that were attached. This one isn’t free, but can be pay itself off with the unlimited possibilities of advertising.

These are just four autoresponders services that are on offer online, with most of the others that you will find on the market doing pretty much the same thing.

A simple autoresponder can help grow your email marketing efforts and online business. If the software seems a bit pricey just remember it is an investment that will pay off in the end.
