November 5, 2009 By Ron 2 Comments

Are you struggling with WordPress, if that sounds like you then check out some of our WordPress Blogging Tips.

Getting The Right WordPress Tips Is Essential For Success

As a affiliate marketer one consideration you need to make is whether or not you are going to be starting a blog to promote products online, you have probably heard of WordPress before as it is the preferred choice of many online marketers today.

This sophisticated yet easy to use software offers a free blogging community, and has an interface that is very easy to use. If you want to start your affiliate career as a blogger, here are some of the steps you should follow to get started.

Here Are Some WordPress Blogging Tips To Get You Started

wordpres blogging tipsFirst, you’ll need to create an account with a WordPress blogging account if you are taking the free option or you will need to register a domain name and grab a hosting account at Hostgator.

Whether it is a free or self hosted blog you are going to have to enter these details such as your email address, first and last name, as well as additional information that will let WordPress know what you plan on blogging about.

You’ll also need to create a user-name and password (keep in a safe place) that you’ll use every time you log into your account.

After your login information is confirmed, you will be transferred to the WordPress homepage or your dashboard if self hosted. There, you can see your account, which will be visible in the top right corner of the page.

When you’re ready to start posting articles, you simply click on the ‘new post’ link on the WordPress blogging homepage (dashboard). If this your first time posting an entry, you’ll need to select your blog design on the next page as well, or download your preferred theme if it is self hosted.

There, you can add a catchy title, and create the body and style that you want to use. The design page will also allow you to add images and videos to your blog, which will make your entries much more interactive for readers.

Once you’ve posted the written material that you want to include in your WordPress blogging page, you will need to save your post either as a draft or published so that it won’t be lost once you log off from the site. You can click ‘save and continue editing’ if you know you want to add more content to the blog post, or want to ensure that your blog entry is grammatically correct before you make the entry public.

Posting Frequently Can Help Increase Your Blog Readers And Keep Your Content Fresh

Make sure that your blog entries are posted frequently as well, try and post at least three times a week. When using WordPress or any other blog platform as this will automatically make your blog more attractive to the many readers of your blog, it is in your best interests they have something interesting to read every day so that they will start to interact with your posts helping you to create more and more blog content on autopilot.

How You Make Money From Your Blog

Once you get used to the writing style you want to use, you can make money from your blog by adding advertisements from businesses. Each time one of your readers reads your WordPress blogging entries and clicks on one of the affiliate links, there’s a chance they will buy something from the company you have advertised.

If this happens, you’ll be getting a portion of the revenue (known as commission), and there are a number of affiliate bloggers that make substantial income using this very system.

If you are undecided about what platform you are going to use then make sure you do your research first, After all the internet is not a “one size fits all”, Go to WordPress and use the free software before you start your own self hosted WordPress blog.

This will help you to learn how to post entries quickly, and how to include additional features such as WordPress plugins like Wp Spire with just a click of your mouse and embed things such as images and videos.

      Hi Lylle

Unfortunately there is not much you can do about this. If you have breached the TOS of the free wordpress site you will not be be able to get all your work back. These types of free accounts are a courtesy and not a right which is one reason the owners of these sites are ruthless when it comes to removing sites from there services. Squidoo does it and so does hubpages and scribd and wordpress is no different.

I have stated this many times before, if you want to develop a sold affiliate marketing business you need to get your own domain name and hosting account.

Doing this will ensure that you don’t get caught like this and lose all your work.
