How To Create A Profitable Blog

September 4, 2009 By Ron Leave a Comment

You may have heard of people who have a profitable blog and make a side income, or even a primary income in some cases if you are a full time affiliate or blogger.

Thus, you may be curious how you too can blog for profit and have a profitable blog. The truth is, it does require some skill and effort, but it is definitely far from impossible.

In fact, with a few simple tricks, you too should be able to be a success with a profitable blog.

how to create a profitable blog image

You Need To Choose A Suitable Topic

The first requirement in having a profitable blog is that you need to know what you are going to blog about. Just like how location is important in real estate, the content takes the supreme position in the blog world. You need to write about something that people are going to find interesting and want to read about.

It has to be something catchy or hold something that people will come in droves to read about. Some of the evergreen blog topics are gossip, recipes, and ideas regarding travel and decor and other things along the same line.

Once you have found out the area of your expertise, then the only thing left to do is write some good articles.

A Profitable Blog Needs Reliable Web Hosting

Next, you need to find a good host such as HostGator and good domain name something catchy and related to your topic. Ideally, the name of your blog should be less than ten characters long but if you are having trouble you can go up to 20 characters if need be, but no more. Don’t keep it too short or too long, make sure the name is something smart and catchy that will stick to people’s minds when they hear it.

Remember those that do manage a profitable blog also seem to have a fantastic domain name.

You can get creative on the name, but remember to draw the line between creativity and vulgarity. Also, you should know that most free blogging websites do not allow for commercial activities on their blogs, so stay away from them and only use those types of platforms such as blogger.com as a feeder site for your main money blog.

Putting You Profitable Blog All Together

Once you have the name and the article content, you need to keep the audience hooked. You will be surprised to see how quickly word spreads, especially when it comes to matters of the internet. If you have really created a stunning and informative blog especially on a hot topic, then many people will visit it and naturally, you should find it easier to keep the interest flowing all while making a good income from your affiliate links or in some cases your own product.

Making Money From Your Blog

Finally, you can choose what method you want to use to earn money from your blog. You can choose anything from advertising to selling articles for money to even offering exclusive premium article content to paid subscribers. If it is on target, you can start by making a few dollars and swell it up to much higher amounts, depending entirely on how dedicated you are to creating your very own profitable blog that can create a passive income.

If you’re not interested in starting your own blog and trying to sell it you can always ghost write for other people. There are countless businesses looking for someone to write their blog posts for them.

They either don’t have the time to do it or they’re not a good writer so they’ll hire someone like you to do their work for them. This is a great way to have a profitable blog and write about the topics that interest you the most.
