Understanding CPA Marketing Offers

August 6, 2009 By Ron 8 Comments

If you are an affiliate and are considering getting involved with CPA Marketing Offers, then you need to have a basic understanding of what it is you are getting involved with first.

As the selection of various offers available within the CPA Affiliate Networks can be confusing to the extent that it might seem daunting at first to attempt especially to try to figure out what all the assorted offers mean to your and whether they hold any value to promote on your website or mailing list.

understanding cpa marketing offersThis is one area that affiliates are making good money right now with CPA Marketing Offers, at first glance you might think that this is not for you but once you understand the CPA marketing basics you will see how profitable this can be for you and your money-making campaigns.

So What Offers Are Available?

There are many different forms of promotions you can use when it comes to CPA Marketing Offers but some of the more common promotions you will find in just about all CPA affiliate network’s selections are promotions known as zip submit or email submit which are CPA Marketing Offers that at first impression don’t seem to be worth anything to the affiliate marketer.

But free trials which is what these CPA Marketing Offers are have become extremely popular to promote, not just for online marketers but affiliates as well here’s why.

In Only Six Short Months

Let’s talk a little about these free trial CPA Marketing offers, as I can see as an affiliate you are thinking where is the money in free trial offers, well, because they are so popular among both advertisers and the affiliates who promote them.

The reason is clear-cut: These free trial offers are habitually completely free to the consumer, except for a small fee (as little as $2.00 or so) for shipping and handling expenses. The consumer receives a product they are interested in for an incredibly low price which what has made it so attractive and easy for you as an affiliate to convert, and the advertiser gets a precious lead.

As an online or affiliate marketer, you may be wondering how these CPA Marketing Offers could possibly be an advantage to you. Even despite the fact that the offer is totally free except for the shipping and handling costs, or nearly free, online businesses are frequently more than willing to disburse decent commissions to affiliates (as much as $20-$100 per lead).

The reason is that scores of these CPA marketing offers are required continuity (subscription) programs and by taking on the free trial offer, the client is agreeing to shell out for additional deliveries of the merchandise when the free trial is finished, frequently through a 30 day auto-shipment payment plan. This also has the benefit for the affiliate to generate recurring commissions for the life of the consumer subscription which is what every affiliate marketer should be aiming for in their efforts to be a success online.

Explode Your Website Traffic Into Overdrive Here’s How

As an affiliate marketer you would have come across one or two marketing products that do this by offering you a free CD or SEO Course where you have to pay for the shipping and handling which in this case is usually inflated so that the vendor makes some money, this is a similar concept to E-mail Submit or Zip Submit except there is usually a subscription fee that needs to be paid monthly where you as the referer get a percentage of that fee.

All you need to worry about, however, is delivering the lead to the vendor, keeping the customer is up to the vendor not you as an affiliate of the CPA marketing program. That means that you pick up a decent and in most cases a residual commission on an offer that is easy to convert, and all you have to do is get the customer to the vendors home page. I think by now you are seeing the true potential of these free-trial offers and why they are becoming very popular for webmasters, affiliates and other business owners to promote online.

Lets Look At These Two Marketing Offers And See How Easy It Is To Get Paid For Promoting Them

Zip Submit
All a visitor has to do in order for you to get rewarded is enter their zip code. You can be sure that the company running the promotion has a way to make money from the consumer on the back-end, but you as the CPA promoter just get paid for the clients zip code simple right. These offers convert extremely well, although they are commonly low-paying you may only earn as little as 75 cents to $1 for a zip submit, but if you are able push a lot of traffic to them even small change can add up to big money.

E-mail Submit
You have in all probability heard many web marketers declare that the money is in the list, but acquiring a list of pre-qualified clients can be tough, and so online businesses are eager to pay a lot of cash for the suitable e-mail addresses. This is where you as an affiliate marketer come in: All the site visitor needs to do is key in their e-mail address and you get paid.

Like with zip-submit, the payouts can be a little low, but you can make up for that in large traffic turnover.

This form of marketing was when it first started out hard to understand for many marketers but as the internet mentality has changed these offers are now becoming very popular with not only your online visitors but marketers from all sides of the marketing world. To get started in CPA Program Marketing one of the better programs is NeverBlue.

For those that really do not know where to start here is some information that will show you all the various forms of CPA Marketing offers and how to choose the right ones for your websites as well as the most effective ways to promote them called Zero Friction Marketing (no longer available).

    Yes John you are right

CPA is much easier to promote however one really needs to be aware that to see a good return from CPA marketing you need to have a lot of traffic coming to your website.

      Hi Alex…

Unfortunately there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to CPA marketing networks. We use Neverblue and a network called PepperJam but they might not be suitable for your needs. The first hurdle you need to get across is getting accepted into a cpa network some can be very difficult to get approved.

Hope this helps Alex and thanks for you comment….

I was accepted into MaxBounty a while back – never really did too much with it. Now that I’ve been much more into SEO, I haven’t really thought about how to combine CPA and SEO effectively. Any suggestions?

      Hi Ben

For CPA marketing to work correctly really need to be niche specific in what you are promoting. What I mean by this is lets say you are promoting dog collars then your site needs to be specifically related to dog collars and other products that the serps feel are closely related. You can get this information from using the Google Wonder Wheel.

Once you have that all in place and have a cpa marketing network setup add your offers and then start to drive as much traffic to your site as possible. The only time i have seen good results from CPA marketing is with sites that have lots of targeted traffic. I might be wrong and others may be able to give you more insight I am only basing this on my experience.

To be successful online today and with so many changes taking place you need to be adding quality as well as quantity and then implement a traffic building strategy whether that is through article marketing or using the social networks to build some type of influence online.

      Hi Ben

You firstly need to see what offers are available in the CPA Network you have been accepted to…

Then you need to be building sites that are niche specific for your CPA offers. You have to create a site that can then can draw a lot of traffic using good quality content, don’t try to go to broad in your niche keep it focused and on topic.

Making money with cpa is as simple as 123 in some cases. I know of a gal which makes $400 to $800 per month with cpa. People do not have to pull out their wallet for trail offers and most of the time even no credit card is needed, which they are reluctant to.
