What Are The Best Affiliate Programs To Join

October 21, 2009 By Ron 6 Comments

What are the best affiliate programs to be involved in, before we get into this first you need to understand where everything fits and why so many online businesses are now relying on affiliate marketers to sell their products and services.

best affiliate programsFor many, using affiliate programs are considered to be the front runners for many online businesses for promotion and additional sales from around the globe.

Being in the affiliate marketing arena for the last five or so years we have seen this industry evolve into a flourishing enterprise for many who get involved and also a huge failure for others.

One of the main reasons for success which currently stands at about 1 percent of these marketers is patience and the ability to adapt to any situation that is presented. For those who fail it is usually though lack of knowledge in the affiliate marketing industry and trying to rush the process of making money online.

Finding Affiliate Programs That Are Related To Your Niche?

As an affiliate marketer you want to be able to join a affiliate program that gives you the best possible chance of success online right?

So what do you need to accomplish this?

Well you need a vendor or affiliate network that offers you as much information as possible on the product or service you are promoting. This should include banners, emails, articles, keyword lists and even PPC campaign text and PPC Tracking of your campaigns.

As a affiliate another very important factor of the whole process is the commission structure and how much you will earn by promoting the product for the vendor. You should also follow the payment process of the product to see how hard or easy it is for the purchaser to follow if they have to jump through hoops to get the product the chances are they will leave the payment process before they complete it.

The Best Affiliate Programs Have These Characteristics

Another aspect which is not only beneficial for the affiliate but also the product vendor is if they have a solid after sales service and maintenance which are two highly regarded qualities of joining the best affiliate programs. Gaining the expected sales and profits would be the best outcome out of such program because if the customer service is good and the product sound there should statistically be a low refund rate for the affiliate.

Affiliate Programs Not To Join

How many times have you joined an affiliate program thinking it was one of the best affiliate programs only to find that the only promotional tool you are going to receive is a URL link.

This can work for the seasoned affiliate but if you are new to the affiliate industry this really isn’t one of the best affiliate programs for you to join. You need help to get going and with the information we listed above you will be presented with a good arsenal of promotional material so that you can promote the product effectively.

Should You Use Affiliate Program Review Sites To Find These Programs

Of course you can go to the other extreme and search out websites which will claim to help you find the best affiliate programs online. These websites will have their own rankings according to the performances and on occasions user ratings and usually are only recommending these programs for a commission if you join.

You need to do your own due diligence on this to ensure that any program you join has the tools that you need to be successful. If a website is offering and affiliate program then they will have an affiliate sign up page see what they offer and make your decision then.

Market Research Is Essential For The Product Vendor

The best affiliate programs will have the vendor of the product creating and maintaining all the promotion material including professionally designed graphics. The success of the vendors product or service can come down to how well it was market researched during the development stages of creating the promotional material.

At this stage a well structured affiliate program will definitely score better than a new website owner who is looking to promote their products through affiliates. However for some they have been smart enough to research there marketplace including affiliates and have provided all the essential materials so they can become one of better programs to promote.

At the end of the day if the vendor is not prepared to give you the tools you need to promote his products effectively why would you waste your time. I am sure you are thinking that there are exceptions to the rules and yes there are but for many it is easier to stay with vendors that offer as much as possible in the way of marketing materials.

We would really like to hear your good experiences and even your bad when it comes to selecting the best affiliate programs.

Try to avoid fads and phases. Take for example the Acai Berry offers, once those reach saturation point, there’s little point to even try run them. They’ve now got bad press, so they won’t convert as well.

Stick to things such as education offers if you want a more stable and sustainable offer to run.

      Hi Justin

Yes this is good advice you should never chase fads or trends firstly because they are hard to get into a good position as everyone else is trying to do the same thing and secondly they do not last very long so you are always going to be looking for a new fad market to get involved with.

Build a quality site around quality products and you will have a sustainable online business that can potentially last for many years.

If you don’t mind can you suggest some sites you know that have the same subject as yours?

      Hi

Yes there are some very good sites that have additional information on affiliate marketing programs and some free training and tools as well. The first is called Affilorama and the next one you want to check out if you are just looking at following information from affiliate marketers online is Growmap.

Hey AffiliateX, thanks so much for posting this. I’ve read so much about affiliate marketing over the last few months but I have no idea how to go about it or who to go with and who to avoid so you have no idea how helpful this is for me. There’s a lot of info around affiliate marketing to take in so it’s great to have advice from somebody who has experienced different areas of the system.

Hi Stacie and welcome to Affiliate X Files

The best advice I can give to anyone when it comes to affiliate marketing is this, stay focused on the product and service that you are offering, make sure you are using not only unique content but quality content. By doing this you will attract many links to your site which is half of your marketing battle won.

Once you have mastered this with your first site then move on to the next don’t try and make a million dollars in the first month it will take time to build like any good business, if you do this you will have a good foundation to work from.
