Tools To Create Traffic To A Website

May 11, 2009 By Ron Leave a Comment

I am going to show you some easy ways that you can use to get more traffic to your website which are free.

Post Update: Squidoo is now part of Hubpages, what this means is that anyone that has a page on Squidoo will now be asked to integrate it over to Hubpages. This is not optional you either have to move the page or you will lose your data. It’s not something you need to do yourself you will get assistance from Squidoo to make the move as easy as possible.

These are just suggestions that should only be used in moderation, and are not something that you should only be really on to get traffic to your website, they are very effective however for short-term gains.

How Do You Create Traffic To A Website?

Free  Services You Can Use

How To Get Free Web Traffic To My Website

Squidoo is a site where you can create a single page (called lenses) on a specific topic to target your money site. Do a search in any competitive market and you will find a Squidoo page usually in the top 10 of the Google listing.

This is free to join and will be a great tool to create traffic to a website. (Since The Panda Update Please Ensure You Read The Terms Of Service Of All These Sites That Are Mentioned In This Article)

Hubpages is another site where you can create a pages called Hubs where you can write about your niche topic with links pointing back to your money site. Hubpages is a little more active when it comes to links in the content so you will only be able to place to links back to any one site on your Hubpage.

To get the best results from using Hubpages you need to have a score greater than 75 or you will have all your links with a “nofollow” tag.

The Hubpages score is determined by the amount of traffic you are receiving as well as comments so it pays to be active in this area which should only take you a few minutes a day.

Scribd is another free service where you can submit articles where people can vote and comment on your topic. I was very skeptical about this service when I first started using it but it is now one of my essential tools to create traffic to a website. Scribd tends to get noticed by Google quickly and even receives PR from Google which can be passed straight to your money site or affiliate pages.

These are just some of the tools to create traffic to a website that are easy and manageable for anyone starting out. Some affiliate marketers use these services only to promote their products and are very successful at it, achieving many top ranked pages in under 24 hrs and of course the profits to go along with this strategy.

You can however become more involved in a more long-term approach by submitting articles weekly to the article directories such as EZINE Articles and Goarticles and of course by using one way links back to your site. For more on these tactics see our promoting money sites post.

My Final Words On This Strategy: This post was written back in 2009 when any page was very easy to rank and for virtually any keyword if you had the right links. Now however this has changed post 2012. If you want to succeed online now in 2014 and beyond forget about trying to increase rankings through links, you need to focus on your content, users and engagement.

Tell me where you’re at? Have you seen success in 2014 or have your past strategies hurt your online business post any comments below to let me know….
