If you already have a Facebook account with a decent number of fans or friends, it’s a good idea to get those people onto your Google+ contact list as soon as possible.
Google+ has some features that make it a potent marketing tool, so you’ll want to make sure to get your Facebook contacts into Google+.
Importing Google+1 Contacts
Instead of asking each person individually to be your friend on Google+, you can use a convenient feature of Yahoo mail to import your Facebook friends directly into Google+.
First, you’ll need to sign up for a Yahoo Email account which you can do here: http://www.mail.yahoo.com
Log into your Yahoo email account and click the “Contacts” tab at the top of the screen.
Next, click the “Import Contacts” button beside the Facebook logo.
This will give you a screen with a menu that will allow you to import contacts from some different services, including several other mail services like Gmail, Hotmail, and others, and of course Facebook.
Click on the Facebook icon.
Log into your Facebook account through your Yahoo account, and it will show you how many contacts you have on Facebook.
You’ll need to wait a while for the process to complete. Once it’s finished, you will see a “Congratulations” screen that will verify how many contacts were imported.
Once your contacts have been imported into Yahoo! Email, log into your Google+ account and click your “Circles” tab. Click the “Find & Invite” link and select the Yahoo! Button. Click “Agree” when the popup window appears.
This will authorise Google+ to import your contacts from Yahoo!
There is one caveat, however?
Your Yahoo account must be at least fourteen days old to import contacts. If you have an existing Yahoo account, it’s a good idea to use it instead of creating a new one. Just don’t forget to go back in fourteen days if you have to create a new one!
