Determining The Right Online Strategies To Pursue; Guest Blogging Ranks Among The Most Effective

February 19, 2013 By Ron Leave a Comment

People in business often have gotten where they are because they know when and how to delegate; an efficient businessman does not waste time trying to learn diverse skill sets that do not have anything to do with the direct operation of his or her business.

That is the power of either hiring an expert full time or paying one on a per job basis to do things in their specific skill set.

Guest Blogging ranksOften, IT and internet issues such as advertising, promotions and building an internet community are all part of those skills where it is the smart thing to do to hire experts.

IT and specific online marketing techniques often fall into the area where it is more efficient to hire the work down rather than tasking an employee to do it.

Often, the rules of the internet seem obscure and stilted; traditional SEO services are this way, and strategies are designed to increase the ranking of the client’s website legitimately.

Guest post submission works the same way as some of these other strategies but is easier to understand if no easier to implement.

A guest post just means that a blog article is written for the blog by another person; that article will usually contain one to two direct links to the client’s website in the author’s bio, but it must be on the subject that the blog addresses, and it must add value to the blog to even be considered as a guest post. Guest blogs work best when they are not promotional at all, but just deliver expert opinion, analysis or ‘how to’ information to the reader.

Under standard SEO best practices put out by the search engine companies, relevant links between pages are one of the best ways to increase your page’s ranking. The links in the author’s bio provide precisely what the search engine bots look for.

That, though, is just a secondary goal. The primary objective of submitting guest submissions to blogs is to build awareness in the community about your website, services and products and to establish your company and website as an expert in that field. This will automatically drive customers to your site, and since they are coming to you in this fashion, you know that they will be high-value customers interested in what you do.

No matter what your business is, SEO services professionals will have a team in place to implement this advertising strategy. Writers are on staff and are adept in many different fields and subjects. The client can have as much editorial input at this stage of the process as he or she wants; in fact, it is recommended, especially for high tech fields, or medical fields.

Once the guest post is written to the clients’ satisfaction, it is then submitted to the best blogs that can be found. The criteria are easy – the blog’s subject matter has to have a direct line to the client’s business. Not only will the current readers of the blog visit the site, but the guest post will also go into the blog’s archives, and become a search engine entry in itself.

The combination of finding that niche customer that you know is interested in your services, the increase in page rankings from search engines and the archived guest post are all factors in making guest posting on a blog one of the most effective of the internet advertising strategies.

Talk to the experts today about how to adopt a plan for your business.
