When writing your articles and placing them into to the online directories you need to have what is called a resource box where you place your text links for the promotion of your site. The problem with this is that by placing the text links at the bottom of your article you are not getting the full benefit of the link back or your hard work.
Are Article Directories Really That Effective For Article Marketing
Article directories only allow you to place text links in your resource box that will actually be of benefit to your marketing and if you try to place a text link in the first or second paragraphs of your article you will not be permitted this is especially the case for EzineArticles. This is what they call above the fold and they want their site links to be the first links that a user views.
You can however place a text link in the last paragraph of your article but it will be tagged “Nofollow” by the EzineArticle Directory. Which is not what you want right!
I am not saying don’t use EzineArticles or even GoArticles, Article Dashboard as a promotion method for your website they are still effective resources to have, I am simply making you aware of what is the standard practice for many of the article directories online today.
The reason for this is that the higher your link is on the article you have submitted the more relevance it is given by the search engines in general. So even though you are getting a benefit from using these directories you are not getting the full benefit for your article marketing efforts.

If you really want to see results when using article text links you need to be placing your articles on sites that will allow you to place your text link in the first paragraph of the article so that it is above the fold.
By doing this you are getting the most benefit from your marketing efforts where as your text link is at the top of the page and is given more relevance by the search engines and a better chance of a visitor actually clicking on your link to visit your site.
By placing your articles on other relevant blogs not just article directories you can get the full benefit from your article marketing by placing your text links at the very top of your article giving it more exposure and more relevance from the search engines. Of course you will still come across blogs that use “NoFollow” I dont think this can be avoided but in general nearly all your articles will pass PR back to your site.
So How Do You Find Blogs That Will Except Your Articles?
The first way you can do this is to use Google Blogs and then enter your selected keyword to find relevant blogs to submit your articles to and hope that they except them. This can be a very time consuming exercise to complete and the results can be very slow…

I got tired of using my old article spinning software and got this recommendation from a friend. I hadn’t hear of Magic Article Rewriter before. I’m going to start researching it and seeing what it is all about. You only mention positives which is a concern for me. What have you seen that is a downside to this program?

When Magic Article Re-writer was released I would have said that it was the best on the the market but since that time Jonathan Ledger has released the Best Spinner (good value) and there has been another one released called Rapid Article Re-Writer which I actually recommend because I am using it daily.
However in saying that I use both of these programs together, firstly I use the functions with Rapid Article Re-Writer to structure the article by adding additional re-written sentences then I will send it into the Best Article Spinner where I can use that for re-writing phrases or single words. The end result is 100’s of articles that are all 100 percent unique and targeting many different keywords.
So if you are promoting your site using article marketing you now have your articles giving you hundreds of links rather than placing the same article in many directories which if the truth be known you are only ever going to get a few links due to the Duplicate content issue.
In saying this, you will only get out of these programs what you put into them. They both come with extensive tutorials on how to use them and it does take time to do but the results are well worth it in the end.
As for downsides to Magic Article Rewriter Adam I did not like the way it installed on my PC initially that was to do with the Microsoft Net Framework it used to register which gave me some problems, but that is just me, the program does everything it says it will and it all comes down to what you want to put into it to see results.

I decided to submit 2 articles to one site and between them in the first couple days I got over 1K uniques and the traffic is still coming in =0). I used to do Article Marketing then stopped because I had other things I needed to focus on. I forgot how much fun it is and am catching up again now. =0).
