Google exposure is always a good thing, and you can be sure that Google+ pages will almost always rank well in Google.
It’s a given.
It’s not a guaranteed way to end up on the first page of Google for a specific keyword, but it’s definitely a good way to get your name into Google!
Your Google+ Account Is All About Exposure
If you want to make the most out of this fact, you need to set up your Google+ account for maximum exposure. This means making your profile visible to the search engines and adding keywords, as well as setting up your page to appear appealing in the listings.
You Need To Use The Right Headlines In Your Google+ Account
The headline you use on your profile page is crucial. You will notice in the search engines that the headline you use will be displayed as the description that shows up when your Google+ page appears in the search engine listings.
That means you will want to focus your attention on creating a headline that will appeal to your market and make them want to click your profile if they see your link in the results.
Keywords Are Also Very Important When Creating Your Google+ Account
Don’t forget to include important keywords in your headline. If you are a affiliate guru, include that in your headline. If someone searches for “Affiliate Guru” on Google and your link happens to appear, the words “affiliate guru” will appear in bold on the page, thus grabbing attention.
Keywords will also help your profile be found in Google. You’re definitely not guaranteed a top ranking by using Google+. Google could never blatantly favor their own property that way.
However, you do want to use keywords on your profile page in order to have that possibility.
Finally You Should Be Adding Some Links To Your Account
Also, be sure to add links to your blog and/or website on your profile page. If someone follows your link from Google, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to get your link seen and followed.
If they happen to not add you on Google+, this could be your only chance to get them as a customer or visitor.

I am planning on installing Google chrome plus in my computer.. Thanks for this information! This will surely come in handy someday..
AffiliateX says
Hi Wendy
Yes I think it is a good idea to get involved in the social network simply because Google never does anything by halves and they really want to compete against Facebook for this marketplace. I believe that Google+ will only get bigger as people get use to the idea.

When it comes to social media, Google has a lot of work to do. I created a Google Fan Page for one of my websites, but I preger the one from Facebook because it’s more useful at this moment. Maybe in a year or two Google Pages will help promote websites too, but right now it’s wasted time.
AffiliateX says
Hi Martin
I would not say to have a Google+ page is a waste of time because when they do get it right you really want to have a well established page on Google to take full advantage.

I think in the future Google+ will become a the best popular in the word. So you should create a page Google + for your blog

Sharing thoughts, links and photos with my circle of friends using Google+ is just so exciting and a different experience. I like the easy, spontaneous video chat which lets me strike up conversations with as many people at once and also get everyone on the same page with fast, simple group chat. Some of the features are similar to FB so I guess with the passage of time, I’ll be able to tell which social networking site I favor more.

I have a Google Plus account, but I’m only using it rarely. But Google Plus really helped me a lot to increase my traffic from search engines through the Google Plus button. My purpose of using Google Plus is to gain more exposure, which I have installed the Google Plus button plugin into my blog. You know what, it really helps!

Certainly Google plus helps build popularity on the top search engine in the world (Google) as it can be seen in various domains. Great tips starting on how to set-up your own google + account, making appealing headlines, using of appropriate keywords also building links in your account. All in all they are useful approach that must be applied.
James says
Hi, Ron! How many links do you think we can add to our Google Plus profiles? I don’t want to get banned.
AffiliateX says
Hi James
It is always the same old rule when you talk about links, do over do it and make sure any links you have are relevant to your page. Also you might consider adding links to other sites not just your own to make it look more natural. Sometimes we forget that Google tracks many things so just make sure you mix it up and you should not have any issues.
James says
Wow, you are so right. It didn’t cross my mind to share other sites as well, even though I read lots of interesting articles. I might even share yours. Thanks!
Steven says
Since Google+ is so new, I’ll be interested to see in a couple of years the value of this traffic an the conversions versus normal Google search result leads. As we know social networking leads in general convert less than organic or PPC traffic. There’s no doubt there’s a boom currently given the crowd of Google+ (mostly businessmen/women such as us), however if it were to ever gain widespread appeal to the Facebook type crowds, I think the quality of such leads may drop.
AffiliateX says
Hi Steven
Yes you are right with the traffic conversion, Google+ is still very new and a lot more testing needs to be done to see the results. However with indicators stating that you need a social presence then it only makes sense to create a Google+ page and start using the service. I have seen some with thousands of of followers already and that has to make a difference to your online business.

Google+ is getting too much love from the blogosphere lately. I’m bothered by the fact that Google is taking advantage of its strong position on the Web to promote its own service(and browser too). And the true majority of the G+ users are techies…for now
John Cooper says
Google+ is one social network that I really haven’t paid much attention to, but have started to get more involved with it. It seems the more and more webmasters have implemented the Google+ button to their sites ever since Google mentioned that it could have an impact on search results.
AffiliateX says
Hi John
Google+ is still growing and evolving so it is going to take some time to see the results. As with every social network that has become popular it is always a good idea to get involved early just in case it becomes the leader for generating traffic. This is what has happened with a site called Pinterest not many people are aware of the traffic that is being generated from this site, but if you look at the smart marketers they are all implementing the Pinterest share buttons on their sites.
It is said that Pinterest is generating more referral traffic to websites now than YouTube, Google Plus and LinkedIn.

I really wanted to try your advice.. Simply because I can’t get any traffic from google+ at all. How sad for me.
Victor says
Thank you for advises Ron. Google+ is important for being visible to the search engines, but in my opinion its interface is repulsive for many users (including me). That is why it will be harder to compete with Facebook.

Interesting read here, Ron. I believe that Google+ has the potential to overcome other Social Networking sites in the future. It may be compared to Facebook or Twitter etc. But, I believe it will be more dominating when the right time comes for it. After all, it’s all about the brand and traffic Google+ may offer for you or your website.
AffiliateX says
Hi Kyle
Yes you are right it is all very new to people now but as Google continues to change and place more weight on your interaction with sites like this the popularity of Google+ will grow fast.
Brian Kinkade says
Google+ is a great way to get some traffic to your main website. Instead of wasting your time on your main website for organic ranking, you can create your Google+ account revolving around a targeted keyword and can bring it up in top search in much quicker time. You can then divert the traffic to your main website by directing visitors to your website.

Have you noticed that a lot of Google+ users seem to use the service for nothing more than self-promotion? That’s the thing that makes me believe that Google+ could end up being a flash in the pan. Internet marketers stand very little to gain by attempting to sell things to one another.
