Increasing Visitor Engagement With Effective Writing

August 20, 2012 By Ron 1 Comment

Are you really the expert in your niche, have you got good visitor engagement on your site?

Are your site visitors engaging with the information you are writing about or do they simply leave as fast as they arrive.

This article will help you write a better article for your site, not only will it help you build trust with your readers and potentially result in more sales but will also signal to the search engines that you are producing high quality content and providing a great user experience.

Becoming The Expert In Your Niche Starts With Visitor Engagement

Visitor Engagement Effective WritingThis is an area that can be corrected very quickly and without much effort on your behalf, what we are talking about here is actually starting a discussion with your readers rather that supplying content and talking at them.

So what do we mean by this, well lets look at how most articles are written so that we can all have an understanding of the mistakes that are made. When many of us write an article we try to jam as much information into it as we can, so much so that we are really doing nothing more than talking at the reader not starting a discussion on the topic.

So how do you start a discussion? With any discussion you may have in life you will find two sides to every story so this is going to be the basis for your article writing starting today.

Start by adding a great title to your page immediately followed by the introduction of the article. The introduction is where you will get the reader’s attention to actually start the conversation. This is like a brief summary of the discussion that is going to take place where you quickly outline each side of the discussion.

Once you have completed that you then need to focus on creating the first point of view to be discussed. This can have any images or statistics that you have used in your research and even your own experiences depending on what topic you are writing about.

Giving Both Sides Of The Story Increases Visitor Engagement

The next step in creating your article is to also add a different point of view where you will discuss different aspects or even different results that you or someone else may have encountered. You can use bullet points to do this or even add more images or statistics showing the difference in results.

The more information you can add to both sides of the discussion the more visitor engagement you will see from your readers. However do not write just to add content make it to the point and factual.

The final step to this, which is the most important aspect for visitor engagement to get the discussion started is the closing paragraph or conclusion to the article. This is where you will evaluate both points of view and even decide on the best scenario for your readers. If you do make a decision on the discussion points in your article you need to explain why that is the best solution to the problem or why it may be the worst this is where you will get the engagement from your readers.

In closing we would also like to add one further tip, write like you speak, your visitors want to get to know you and understand you and it is the cornerstone for you to build trust with your readers. Building trust will get much better results with visitor engagement on your site.

I love reading your blog and have learned so much from you. There’s one thing I’m not sure about. Good content marketing is another way of saying that you’re convincing your viewers/customers to purchase your products. They are very useful in my opinion.
