August 28, 2009 By Ron Leave a Comment

There are so many blogs out there geared towards business today that are packed full of information about blogging strategies.

Such as how to make money blogs or how to make money from blogging and you can even find information on how to blog and get rich.

You will even find articles on how do I create a blog online. With so many different money schemes out there, let’s get back to blogging for fun. Blogging can be an enjoyable hobby and lets you meet other people around the world who are interested in what you have to say.

What Is The Best Blog Platform To Start With…

blogging for fun imageBlogger and WordPress are probably the easiest platforms to use to set up your blog as there are many blog templates that come along with it or you can do a search for free blog templates for either platforms.

You can select something fun and bright to catch your reader’s attention. Today, there are many free Blogger and WordPress templates that you can find online if you’re not keen on the ones that have been provided.

There are magazine style Blogger and WordPress templates that have become very popular as well as the 3-column blogger and WordPress layouts that you can find for free online. Choose which one suits your blog needs and personality and install it on your hosting service.

If you don’t want to spend any money when you first start out blogging on hosting then both WordPress and blogger allow you to set up free sites so that you can see the potential of these sites and how easy they are to update and maintain before you decide to get your own domain name and host your own blog.

Do make sure to create a customized banner for your blog. You can do a search on Google for free blog banners. These banners are usually with graphics and the text just needs to be typed in. You can save to your computer and upload on Blogger to change the default banner. Make it fun for you and your readers. If you blog about ice cream, a colorful banner with your blog name is inviting.

If you don’t like any of the free blog banners out there, you can easily find a designer that creates blog banners inexpensively. They are usually the ones who provide blog templates so they understand the size requirements. You can also change the background of your blog. This is called a tile or background tile. It’s quite simple to change in your HTML layout on Blogger and can change the appearance of your blog drastically.

You Will Need A Constant Flow Of Fresh Content

Make sure to have titles in your posts that are catchy and exciting. Use keywords that people are searching for. Keep your posts short and fun. You want to keep your reader’s attention so don’t create a long type article to read. A post can be created to share something funny, a new comic, a quote, a new find, something that happened and more.

By keeping your blogging activities lively, it creates interaction with the readers. They want to leave comments about posts that they can relate to. Make sure to comment on your own blog comments so readers can see you are taking notice of your followers. A good blog can greet their readers and get them involved in any post. Add great photos in your post to capture the theme. Visual impact is important online and photos are just as important as words.

Create A Themed Community For Best Results

Create a community by adding links to your favorite blogs on the sidebar, however try to keep them relevant to your theme. Create a fun atmosphere over at your blog and people will come to post their comments and suggestions about your article topics. When other readers like a certain blog, they usually link to it from their own blog. In time, you will have a great following for your fun blog.

The original concept for blogging was fun by way of a personal journal but now it has become much more than that due to the attention that the search engines pay to any new blogs being created on the net.

You will notice that any affiliate marketers that are dedicated to their business success will be using a blog and usually a WordPress blog to either create product review sites or in a specific niche to promote many products within the same niche market.
