Why You Should Be Starting A Blogging Community As An Affiliate Marketer

October 12, 2009 By Ron Leave a Comment

As an affiliate marketer something you need to consider doing is building a blogging community that is relevant to your niche market, here are some tips to get you started.

If you’ve just started a blog, or maybe you’re thinking about starting one as an affiliate, you’ll need to know how to build an effective community around your site.

This will help to drive traffic to your affiliate business site, so you’ll be promoting yourself, as well as the products or services that your business may be offering or marketing.

Copy Other Successful Bloggers

The first things you should do to increase the number of people in your blogging community is to read other blogs.

And, if you’re looking for things to talk about with your readers, reading some other blogs will help you to come up with conversation topics.

Leave Useful Comments On Any Niche Related Blogs

You should also make sure that you leave comments on other blogs that are relevant to your target market, so that you can get a feel for what other readers are saying. This will help you to determine if you need to add more information to your blog entries, or if you need to condense the information that you’re presenting.

You should also become more a part of the blogging community by leaving the link to your blog in the comments section. This way, other readers, as well as the creator of the blog, can find you and start reading the material that you’ve posted.

The most effective way to do this is by using a WordPress plugin called CommentLuv.

However when doing this it is advisable to ensure you are adding value to the other blog or your efforts will be for nothing. If the blog moderator feels that you comments are spam or do not add to the post they will more than likely delete it.

Always Reply Personally To Any Comments You Receive

Make sure that you reply to each of the comments that you’ve received on your blog. This will increase the number of people in your blogging community. When people comment on your blog, they want to know that you’re actually paying attention to them, and that their comments have been heard.

You don’t have to reply with anything lengthy, but just giving a simple ‘thank you’ to readers will let them know that you’re active on the blog and are interested in the comments that you’re receiving.

Make Sure You Submit To As Many Networks As You Can

Be sure to list your blog in all your directories when you’re trying to broaden your blogging community. There are a number of communities to choose from, and when people search using Google for blog directories, thousands of results will come up,and your blog will be listed.

Post Information As Regularly As You Can

Finally, be sure to write often. When you’re a blogger, you need to make sure that your entries are as up to date as possible. So, if you’re writing about new trends in the fashion world, you should create a blog entry each time you see a new look that you think your readers would want to know about.

It is also very important to include lots of pictures on your blog for the blogging community to see. This will make your entries much more engaging, and could even bring in advertisers that will generate money for you.
