Article Marketing Tips Your Quick Start Guide To Online Success

December 4, 2009 By Ron 2 Comments

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online and with the economy now on a down slide, there are now more entrepreneurs online than ever trying to replace lost income or pursuing a career change.

And for those that want to be successful in accomplishing this there is one strategy you need to adopt before anything else online and that is article marketing as it is now and has always been the most effective way to market your online business.

If you know how to use article marketing correctly, it can help you grow your online business potential in a very short period of time.

Here are 4 quick start article marketing tips that will impact on your online business virtually overnight.

Do Not Use PLR Content Straight Out Of The Box

article marketing tipsDo not ever use PLR content as is, meaning out of the box. Many people take this easy option and just copy and paste the PLR content into a text document and then try to submit it to the article directory but you have to remember that the PLR content is everywhere online and the article directories are very aware of this and will decline your articles or even close your account.

Another factor you need to consider when thinking about using PLR Content is the penalty you can get from Google for placing this on your site. Google wants to clean up it’s index and eliminate many sites that have the exact same content.

If you want to take the time to use your articles as a starting point and then write your own content from that material you will find that you are getting much better results not only in the search engines but as an authority in your niche market.

Basically what you are doing is this….

Take the time to write your articles yourself.  Create your own writing style and offer quality content that makes readers come back for more. Don’t be known as the guy or girl that throws together low quality articles. It will reflect on your business in a negative way.

If you have PLR content on your hard drive and you really know what you are talking about in your niche then it should be a simple exercise to write a unique article for your site or distribution on other blogs or directories..

Having A Strategy To Create More Articles

Another aspect you need to consider when writing quality article content, is you should also have a article marketing strategy in place that will help you increase the number of articles that you are writing and submitting.

If you think that you are only going to be writing one article and that’s the end of it you should not even start as you will be wasting your own time. The object here is not only to have many articles but also by doing this you are seen as the expert in your niche which can help you to topple your competition.

You Want To Be Seen As The Authority…

Your overall goal should be to become the expert or the authority in your online niche. To accomplish this, you need to be writing on a consistent basis, at least three times a week minimum. You cannot get this done simply by submitting just one article a week, it will take way to long. A very useful article marketing strategy is to cut done on the size of the articles without compromising the quality and increase the number of them that you write and submit.

You could even consider writing a series and have part 1 part 2 and so on, which is a great way to get links from other authority sites.

Keep your articles short to 350 and 450 word articles. Keeping it short will enable you to focus on writing on a specific topic with no added hype and will encourage the reader to click the link in your resource box so they visit your website which is one of the reasons you are writing the article.

It will help you become a expert writer by making sure the content shorter and directly addresses a problem. This will enable you to submit more content on a consistent basis which is another good tactic to adopt when article marketing.

Stay Focused On Your Niche To Increase Traffic

You have to remember that the primary purpose of your article marketing strategy is to generate traffic to your website or blog. Make sure that the article is consistent with your business. Your articles must be easy to read with a resource box that will lead your readers to it.

Write what people want to know about right now. You need to be helping people solve the problems that they have by offering useful articles they can’t find elsewhere.

Do not write about gardening if your website is on computer security.

To generate a good amount of traffic and have you as an author become an expert you need to ensure that what you are writing is of top quality so that your readers come back for more because you are being seen as the expert on that topic.

Have An Engaging Resource Box To Encourage Clicks

Keep your resource box on target and to the point. Leave out all the hype and make sure your website link is working correctly or you will fail at article marketing. Once the reader has finished the article and clicks on the link to find out more information about you and you product or service this is where you can use more hyped up copy on your sales page.

There is definitely nothing wrong with checking out other expert author’s to see how they are drafting their resource boxes and creating there resource link at the bottom of the article.

If you do take the time to visit a few expert authors you will notice that their resource boxes on all their articles are nothing more than to the point straightforward lines of engaging content to get their readers to click on the links.
