As you’re aware the secret to building durable, legitimate, inbound links is finding friendly webmasters who’ll shine their light on you by publishing your articles and links to their sites and blogs. This is done by the seeker navigating the Net for just such friendly, reliable webmasters and site editors to hook up with.
Thinking Outside The Box Breaths New Life Into SEO
This ambitious campaign to obtain incoming links is a daunting task which is a must do in the competitive world of SEO. I’ve come to learn, though the web is as vast as the expanse… you can still run out of quality web sites to approach for inbound links.
There was once a time if anyone expressed to me they where running out of related sites to approach for inbound links I would have shrugged them off as simply not trying, but as time passes and I pour myself into this inbound linking endeavor, I see that it’s not only probable but likely you’ll run out of good Alexa ranking sites to approach.
If you can’t see how this presents a problem… just imagine you’re attempting to rank for the word Mobility Scooters and you simply exhausted all your hand-picked, high quality sites that where worth approaching. This leaves you and your keyword “dangling” at the brink of top 10 search results with no more fuel to arrive at your destination.
What’s Your Solution?
… Find an alternative fuel source. To bring this analogy full circle let me place it all on the table.
The fuel I refer to in this analogy are the web sites and subsequent site topics you gravitate to when looking for sites to accept your free article offer. To change your fuel source simply refers to your ability to seek out and merge other sites and their topics with yours. By doing this you can open up hundreds of new untapped sites and niches.
Now this may be confusing if you’ve never set out on a link campaign before… so let me paint a pretty picture for you!
The best way for me to do this is by using real life examples… So here goes.
I promote mobility scooters which means I approach sites in the health and mobility scooter industry. I avoid larger corporate sites because they’re simply to big. For you to speak with an individual in charge, it wouldn’t be worth the grief and heart ache you’re doomed to encounter.
Small Private Sites Are The Way To Go
These guys and gals are in many cases – just like you and are reasonably down to earth people! What I’m getting at is smaller sites are more likely to treat you as a real person!
OK let’s get back on track… As I was saying, I approach sites in the health and mobility scooters niche… small private sites are the way to go although… what happens when I run out of sites in the health and mobility niche? …Then It’s time to switch to a different fuel source or niche.
It’s At This Junction You’ll Need to Think Out Side the Box and Bridge the Gap Between Two Seemingly Unrelated Topics
You must learn to bridge the gap if you intend to stay alive in the affiliate business. Tying two niches together so you can offer articles to sites that at first glance have nothing to do with your subject will do two things:
- Increase your conversion rate of sites who accept your offer… granted you present them with an article or post of true substance.
- And secondly… open doors of opportunity to massive stores of alternative fuels… “remember” fuel is the word I use to represent sites surrounding unrelated topics.
Once I’ve run out of health and mobility scooter sites to approach I climb outside the box and brain storm which topics I can come up with that can link in some obscure fashion to my mobility scooter slash electric wheel chair site.
A perfect example is dating sites. I somehow believed that I could craft an article the showed online daters, both able-bodied and not, how to attract a first-rate mate via extended profiles and providing extra pics and details about one’s self. To date I have 9 articles on dating sites that host FREE articles I crafted with links back to my mobility scooter site.
Once you’ve successfully learned the art of tying unrelated subjects together, you too can write your own ticket in the SEO game for that’s the bulk of your work… finding other sites and webmasters to link to you.
Just keep those gears turning and your eye on the prize. Momentum and desire to succeed will thrust you into success. Remember bridging the gap between niches can open doors of opportunity and close doors on failure.
Start right now mixing and churning ideas around in your head. If you’re looking for additional SEO tactics… keep walking through affiliatexfiles.com and you’re sure to pick up a thing or two!

Hi Shane and welcome
Yes one thing that really stands out with any online business is the need to be organized and not place to many things on your plate at the same time this will only lead to distractions and less work being done.
It also helps if you can think outside of the box and not just follow everybody else with the same old marketing tactics which in most cases are well used and not as effective as they once were.

Hi Sam
Yes SEO is key to making your website more effective online. Many people seem to think that this is something that they can not do themselves but if the truth be known it is very easy to do if you look through all the myths that are all over the internet.

I think a good SEO link building strategy is to create a blog which will talk about cool things related to company’s business and start getting involved in the blogosphere community of other related blogs to share ideas and comments with. That is one of the most effective ways of getting quality links and being noticed online.

Hi David
You are right, you need to always be thinking about ways to generate traffic to your site and one of those ways id from link building. However when i say that i am not talking about reciprocal linking those days a nearly finished, you need to be getting links from within relevant content and not link directories on other sites.
Yes having a blog is now the norm if you are serious about marketing a business online. As David said you can then very easily interact with potential customers as well as share links and ideas with other bloggers.
