I believe that subscribers are even more valuable than fans on Facebook or followers on Twitter. Subscribers usually receive an email with your content alone, on social media sites there are too many updates from different sites and sometimes your content isn’t as visible. I would also like to add that subscribers are already interested in what you have to offer, so its easy to make money promoting products or services related to your niche.

Hi Jeffrey you are right on the money with this. It is one thing to get a friend or a follower on one of the many social networks but it is a lot more powerful if you can get them to give their details to you on your actual website where you can interact with them more effectively and without all the distractions associated to the social sites.
