Yes you are right with this…You might be able to write content but if it is not interesting or relevant to the reader your blog will not survive for very long online.

For me I actually prefer to use a blog. Firstly they are easy to update and your users can leave comments on the site creating even more content. Adding additional information is also easy and you really don’t need to know a lot about HTML.

A HTML static site is also alright but you will need to know some HTML to add content and update. You also need content coming in on a weekly basis if you want to grow your business, so opt for the blog. My preference is WordPress.

I am a strong believer in adding content regularly, I find it draws more traffic whether it is a blog or Static HTML site as I have both. If you do not update your static site anyone in your niche who is updating their content will rank better than you.

Which one is the best way to make money, blog or static website? Many say that blog can be a great option, but it should be updated regularly. On the other hand, static website need no updates. Is it a fact or myth?

You need to have the attitude right from the start that you will be treating this as a business if you want to make money online with a blog. It does take hard work as well as providing a constant flow of quality information and facts to keep your readers returning to your blog to find out more.

To many people start out thinking that you simply slap a few pages up on theit blog and the money starts rolling in, this does not happen.

However you can also build a site that specifically goes after long tail keywords with Adsense and traffic to see some good returns. You need to consider how much time you are willing to commit to your sites and if you had 10 sites that all made $10 a day then over a month you would have and additional $3000 in your pocket.

Once these sites get more authority you can then start adding affiliate offers to those sites and maybe even double your income for the month.

No matter what you do though this all takes time to get established and you need to work at it to make things happen.

Not everyone can get success with blog. In fact, it’s not that easy to earn money from a blog, especially for newbie. There are so many works to do and when someone gives up, that’s it. I agree with Brian about Google Adsense, the amount of money that Google offers per click or per impression is just like a small grain. To earn more revenue we should target high paying keywords, but we will compete with so many people.

Creating and maintaining a blog takes a lot of hard work, patience, perseverance and smarts. I once put up a blog thinking that my writing skills alone, coupled with a few marketing tactics will do the trick. I was sorely mistaken. Launching a blog is a lot similar to launching your own business. It’s not merely going online with your amazing writing skills and feeling confident that the world will respond.

Yes you are right, this all takes time to build and see a profit for your efforts and would totally agree that you need to plan for six months. However I have seen people enter niches that were so popular and with very little competition that the money was coming in much faster.

This of course is a very rare occurrence and you still need to stay focused on a minimum of six months.

Earning on a blog takes time and one shouldn’t dream of grabbing dollars on the very first day. It took about 6 months for me to fully establish my blog, optimizing it for selected keywords and then getting targeted traffic. Now, I am able to earn a handsome amount from several of my blogs.
