Getting Google Traffic to Google+

Google exposure is always a good thing, and you can be sure that Google+ pages will almost always rank well in Google.

It’s a given.

It’s not a guaranteed way to end up on the first page of Google for a specific keyword, but it’s definitely a good way to get your name into Google!

Your Google+ Account Is All About Exposure

google+ trafficIf you want to make the most out of this fact, you need to set up your Google+ account for maximum exposure. This means making your profile visible to the search engines and adding keywords, as well as setting up your page to appear appealing in the listings.

You Need To Use The Right Headlines In Your Google+ Account

The headline you use on your profile page is crucial. You will notice in the search engines that the headline you use will be displayed as the description that shows up when your Google+ page appears in the search engine listings.

That means you will want to focus your attention on creating a headline that will appeal to your market and make them want to click your profile if they see your link in the results.

Keywords Are Also Very Important When Creating Your Google+ Account

Don’t forget to include important keywords in your headline. If you are a affiliate guru, include that in your headline. If someone searches for “Affiliate Guru” on Google and your link happens to appear, the words “affiliate guru” will appear in bold on the page, thus grabbing attention.

Keywords will also help your profile be found in Google. You’re definitely not guaranteed a top ranking by using Google+. Google could never blatantly favor their own property that way.

However, you do want to use keywords on your profile page in order to have that possibility.

Finally You Should Be Adding Some Links To Your Account

Also, be sure to add links to your blog and/or website on your profile page. If someone follows your link from Google, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to get your link seen and followed.

If they happen to not add you on Google+, this could be your only chance to get them as a customer or visitor.

      Hi Wendy

Yes I think it is a good idea to get involved in the social network simply because Google never does anything by halves and they really want to compete against Facebook for this marketplace. I believe that Google+ will only get bigger as people get use to the idea.

Yes, even though Google+ is relatively new to many users it is always a good idea to jump in and check it out. You never know what benefits it may have for your online business and every little bit of exposure helps.

When it comes to social media, Google has a lot of work to do. I created a Google Fan Page for one of my websites, but I preger the one from Facebook because it’s more useful at this moment. Maybe in a year or two Google Pages will help promote websites too, but right now it’s wasted time.

Sharing thoughts, links and photos with my circle of friends using Google+ is just so exciting and a different experience. I like the easy, spontaneous video chat which lets me strike up conversations with as many people at once and also get everyone on the same page with fast, simple group chat. Some of the features are similar to FB so I guess with the passage of time, I’ll be able to tell which social networking site I favor more.

      Hi James

It is always the same old rule when you talk about links, do over do it and make sure any links you have are relevant to your page. Also you might consider adding links to other sites not just your own to make it look more natural. Sometimes we forget that Google tracks many things so just make sure you mix it up and you should not have any issues.

  14. Steven from Affiliate Marketing For says:

Since Google+ is so new, I’ll be interested to see in a couple of years the value of this traffic an the conversions versus normal Google search result leads. As we know social networking leads in general convert less than organic or PPC traffic. There’s no doubt there’s a boom currently given the crowd of Google+ (mostly businessmen/women such as us), however if it were to ever gain widespread appeal to the Facebook type crowds, I think the quality of such leads may drop.

      Hi Steven

Yes you are right with the traffic conversion, Google+ is still very new and a lot more testing needs to be done to see the results. However with indicators stating that you need a social presence then it only makes sense to create a Google+ page and start using the service. I have seen some with thousands of of followers already and that has to make a difference to your online business.

  15. Google+ is improving its features day by day and it will also bring a great change and attract many more people because its owned by google
