Yes many people make affiliate marketing sound very simple, usually to sell some product or service to you. However if you were to stop and think about everything you need to achieve you would instantly understand that affiliate marketing is not something that is going to make you rich fast.

This might have been the case five or six years ago but today with so many people getting involved the market can become saturated with competitors all trying to make money from popular products or services.

Work hard and stay focused on your goals and the rewards will follow, don’t get caught up in the marketing hype and spend you hard earned money on products you simply don’t need.

I automatically dismiss anything that sounds too good to be true, but the fact that you emphasize that it does require hard work, just like anything else, lends this a lot of credibility. It’s a bit brief, but good.

I also like the point you bring up that despite there being a lot of competition, much of those people are expecting easy money, leaving them quite vulnerable.
I also must commend Google for creating such strong incentives for companies to stop cluttering the internet with garbage.

Yes Jade you are right about many of the articles you have probably read about people making it big time online. The sad truth of it is that only about 1% make it and they are the ones that forget about the hype and B.S and actually offer value to their site visitors…

You need to think about it this way, what have you ever found in the real world that has made you a huge amount of cash, where you don’t have to work at it and you can go to the beach every day and just watch you bank account grow. For me, anyway I have never found anything like that and its the same on the internet. If you are not motivated to do some work you are really wasting your time, you just will not make it. (I am not saying that this is what you have done)

However if you are willing to put in the hours and select a niche that is in huge demand you can realize your dreams very quickly and easily with the right information. Even with more competitive niches you can make good money, because what I have found is that many of those jumping into those more competitive niches are also the ones that are not willing to do any work, so they are very easy to beat.

Just look at the quality of any websites that are in the top ten of the niche and see what quality if any they offer and you might find that you have an open door to make some money.

You need to work hard at it, have motivation and dedication to actually see results in affiliate marketing.. Learning is an on going process as so many things change very fast on the internet you need to always be aware of these changes to stay on top.

Yes it is a very good idea to do some research and learn as much as you can before starting out on your affiliate marketing career.

One thing you can not afford to do in the early stages of your marketing is make mistakes like emailing your subscribers to much and with useless information this in effect will build mistrust between you and you potential customers making it much harder for you to make any money….

This is just one of many scenarios that you need o try and avoid, and trust me over the last nine years I have not only seen many but have also been guilty of some of these mistakes myself.
